IN THIS LESSON

Decisions are rarely based on volume of information.
They are based on clarity, credibility, and perceived stability.

Primary Drivers

  • Consistency (Do your actions and claims align over time?)

  • Credibility (Do you appear reasonable and grounded?)

  • Structure (Is your information organized and understandable?)

  • Third-party input (GALs, evaluators, etc.)

  • Time constraints (What can be assessed quickly?)

What Does NOT Drive Decisions (as much as people think)

  • Emotional intensity

  • Volume of evidence

  • “Being right” in a broad sense

Why This Matters

You can have:

  • strong evidence

  • valid concerns

…but if it is:

  • disorganized

  • reactive

  • difficult to follow

it will not carry the weight it should

Apply This

  • Prioritize clarity over quantity

  • Present patterns, not isolated incidents

  • Focus on consistency over time
